The Champ is Here

The crowd cheered as the Raw intro played on the giant titantron, followed by a pyro show igniting the stage. Justin Roberts stood in the middle of the ring in front of a rousing crowd, but quickly braced himself because things were about to get louder. "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome you're new WWE Divas Champion...Ashley Walker!" New Orleans went insane out the mention of their hometown girl.

The crowd cheered louder as the champ's theme played throughout the arena, no later than it had 24 hours before. Ashley walked out onto the stage, holding her newly engraved Divas title in the air. The brunettet stopped just before the ramp, all smiles in a cropped black blazer, black tank top, ripped skinnies, and black laced booties.

"We called it the miracle on Bourbon Street!" Michael Cole said excitedly, "One of the most incredible performances in Wrestlemania history. She was terrorized by the Wyatts and had to over come obstalce after obstalce that was laid before her by Stephanie McMahon herself until last night she beat Kylie Marker to become the WWE Divas Championship, King it was Mardi Gras at Wrestlemania!"

"It was unbelievable! As you can see the butterfly was brought home to the bayou! As Ashley became the Divas Champion!" King was just as enthusiastic. The crowd roared for Ashley as she made her way down the ramp, the butterfly still above her head.

"And what an incredible sight tonight, 15, 401 WWE fans sold out for the second straight night, here in New Orleans! Welcome to ringside everybody, Michael Cole, the legendary JBL, the Hall of Famer Jerry 'the King, Lawler and John are you finally convinced that Ashley Walker is an Aplus player?"

JBL rolled his eyes at the champion, who stood in the ring, "I was wrong, fairytales come true, a skank is now a WWE Divas champion!"

"Get used to that face JBL, that's the new face of the WWE Divas Division!" King interjected. JBL shook his head, "Lord help us, it looks like something straight out of a trailer park found itself in the ring."

Ashley took a deep breath, title in one hand a mic in the other. She smiled at her friends and family that were seated all throughout the arena. After her music stopped, 'Ashley Walker' chants erupted, making her smile even wider. Ashley looked down at her heels, trying to take it all in. "This must feel really good to that young woman." King said.

"Wow, this is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen!" JBL couldn't believe the reception she was getting, especially since it was all for a Diva. "She keeps trying to talk, but they won't let her!"

Ashley looked up at the crowd and laughed, "You guys never get tired do ya?!" Her voice ended the chants of her name, only for it to rouse up huge cheers. "God, this thing is so much heavier than I thought it'd be!" She laughed again.

The champion almost flinched at their cheers, but stood her ground, clearly on cloud nine. "You know it's funny, it was only a little under three years ago when I first walked through those curtains...and here we are a day after Wrestlemania 30 and it seems like everybody here and everybody watching that the entire WWE Universe was united when the referee hit the one, two, three!" New Orleans chanted again, 'You deserve it! You deserve it!'

Ashley's eyes widened. The fan support was almost overwhelming. "Guys! Guys! I might deserve a little bit, but I think you guys deserve it!" New Orleans screamed again, "Because when I walked through those curtain three years ago, I never thought for one second that I'd ever wrestle a singles match at Wrestlemania! Let alone for the Divas title!"

She placed the title on her shoulder and continued to speak, "My journey to Wrestlemania wasn't about an underdog trying to get what she's wanted more than anything, no! It wasn't about me trying to shake off Bray Wyatt or deal with Stephanie and Kylie's mind games, or terrorizing the Divas locker room as the Skanks, no it was about you guys!" She pointed to New Orleans, "It's about the power that each and everyone of us have to make change and because of YOU GUYS, because of your power, last night I went into Wrestlemania 30, I beat Kylie Marker and right now I stand here as the new WWE DIVAS CHAMPION!!" She screamed passionately into the microphone and threw her title into the air to New Orleans' deafening cheers and her music barely audible through all the chaos.

Nolan Carr stood in the ring, all smiles as he waited for his opponent. His music stopped, but was picked up by the familiar poppy tune, 'I Like It' by Enrique Iglesias. "And his opponent, he is the Intercontinental Champion, accompanied by Krystal Garcia, weighing in at 245 pounds from Phoenix, Arizona, Brent Taylor!" The young champion held the title on his shoulder as he clapped and fist pumped the air. Behind him strutted Krystal Garcia. Before walking down the ramp, he grabbed Krystal hand and twisted her around and dipped her before pulling her back up and walking down the ramp.

Nolan raised an eyebrow at the couple and shook his head. He watched Brent grope his girlfriend and she seemed to enjoy the attention. He jumped onto the apron and held his hand down, pulling Krystal up. Sitting on the second rope, he held it down for her before entering the ring himself. Throwing his title up in the air, he soaked in the cheers, while the Latina pointed to him, rousing the crowd even further. When his music finally came to an end, Brent handed Krystal his title and the diva gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

Brent was on the mat, seemingly knocked out, but Nolan wasn't done with him. He pulled the champ up by his hair and put him in a pump handle slam position, but before he could hit the move Brent flipped over him and kicked him in the back of the leg, making him fall to his knees. Not wasting another second, he hit a quick snap DDT and covered him.

"One! Two!" Nolan kicked out.

"Come on Brent!" Krystal cheered and clapped from the outside. Brent ran his hands through his hair in frustration, while Nolan crawled backwards to the corner, using it to lift himself up. The young Latino jumped to his feet and charged towards Nolan, but the Englishman jumped out of the way, letting the rookie crash into the corner and back down on the canvas. Nolan jumped onto the corner and threw a fist in the air, "Whose ready for some bad news?!"

Before he could hit whatever he was gonna hit, out of nowhere Brent jumped up and hit Nolan with a high knee. He jumped back up and climbed the second rope. He threw his arm over him, readying him for a superplex, but Carr was much stronger. With a closed fist, he slammed into Brent's ribs with enough force to knock him back down. Nolan laughed as he climbed up to the third rope, but his eyes widened with surprise as he saw Brent back up and charging at him. The rookie jumped up to the top rope wrapped his arms around Nolan's head and jumped back down hitting a devasting faceplant! He quickly hooked the leg, "One! Two!" Nolan kicked out.

"This is awesome! This is awesome!" Chants circulated through the arena.

Both men rolled away from each other. But slowly made their way to their feet. Unfortunately for Nolan, Brent was faster as he charged for him again. He tried to do a headlock from the back, but Carr shook him off, but that didn't stop him. Brent was already bouncing off the ropes and jumping towards Nolan, but what Nolan lacked in speed, he made up for in power. He caught Brent and hit an impressive spinning side slam, turning it into a cover.

"One! Two!"

Brent kicked out before the three count and Krystal cheered on the outside. Nolan slammed his hands onto the mat, he couldn't believe it. Nolan got up and slapped his knee, eagerly waiting for his opponent to get up to his feet. As Brent jumped back up, he charged for him, ready to hit him with a knee trembler. Before his knee could impact his face, Brent jumped over Nolan and quickly charged for the ropes. As he bounced off them, Nolan turned around and Brent jumped, locking his arm around his head, he swung his body and used the momentum to spin him around, turning it into a devasting running DDT. Brent quickly hooked the leg.

"One! Two! Three!"

The referee signaled for the bell, while Brent fell back down ontop of Nolan. The New Orleans crowd continued the 'This is awesome' chants after the competitive match they'd just witnessed. He tried to raise Brent's arm as he climbed to his feet, but the young superstar was too woobly, falling back down on his ass. Nolan sat up and favored his head. He looked to Brent and laughed, slapping him on the back. Both of them knew that the match overshadowed the outcome and at the end of the day, that's what it was all about. Putting on one hell of a show. But there were a pair of twins in the back that didn't seem to agree.
